RC car charger – modified
« on: December 31, 2011, 03:19:29 PM »
My brother received an RC car for Christmas. A simple one, but those damn Chinese folk made it stupid. Well, basically the only way to charge the car was to connect it to the RC pad from where you control that car. It’s stupid because you use the batteries for the remote AND to charge the car!
You can imagine that the batteries get drained rather quickly this way… therefore I made a slight modification for that car…

That is very kind of you :D .

I also dislike the small battery concept, where are those batteries who will run for 30min+ :P

Yeah, small batteries suck. I considered ripping that car apart to replace that battery but didn't :P would probably be too much work... with current battery you can play for like 15 minutes. Kinda lame though.

You can use 4 nine volt battery in this way to get better performance.
Join 2 of it in parallel and other 2 of it in parallel. now join this 2 pair in series.
It will give you enough voltage as well as enough current.

Yeah I can, but then again - batteries... they will die eventually and you will have to change them. The way I made it is more permanent...

Ya no doubt, i always use charger when i want to test my robo car. Well i have plenty of chargers like that.

But if you want to use it in any race then it won't help. Because it doesn't give that mush voltage and current to speed up the car.

So when i want to put robocar in race i just use parallel and series combination of small batteries. You can get more power for short time. and your car will run like sports car. he he.
