DNS poisoning?

My first step into real hacking (not device firmware replacement) i want to spoof the DNS of my family who is also on my local network  i have admin access to my router any sugestions on how to proceed?  i do not want to touch my router and want to live spoof dns (respond to the UDP traffic before the DNS server does

The question would be why? if it's gonna be permanent then it'd be much better to do something with the router :)
Anyway, if you're on windows, Cain&Abel can do that easily. Otherwise Ettercap on Linux is also good.

ettercap -Tq -M arp:remote -P dns_spoof -i your_interface_name router_ip
add dns to

/usr/share/ettercap/etter.dns
