ArchAssault

Wow, I can't believe that no one has jumped on this OS yet
*Daemon stares at lucid and techb*

ArchAssault is penetration testing OS built specifically around Arch Linux and it strives to keep the Arch philosophies and goals in it's packages. To use the websites words "A fully customizable pentest distribution done the Arch Linux way"

It's also not only made to run on a comp, but for embedded systems as well. Would you like some Assault with your Pi anyone? Now what makes this different from any other pentesting OS out there? Well i could be wrong, but I dont believe BT5 is aimed to support DRONES now is it?? Yeah, drones. One of the goals when they created this OS was to have it drone compatible. Now they don't have much info about this feature yet, but I'm imagining a drone with wifi mapping capabilities. Or better yet, a drone cracker. Fly it around and stay away from the physical location while your drone does all the dirty work. A bit beyond my budget, but still pretty fuxing cool IMO. Anyways, I'll shut up now and let you read the rest for yourself.

http://www.blackarch.org/ looks alot like it. Though i don't trust blackarch anymore after they changed owners and juggled around with the repo's.

Nice find, I myself just use the blackarch repo that is stuffed with penting tools but this is good as a plug and own boot.
Thanks for sharing.

True, its very similar. But did i mention...DRONES! I mean blackarch isn't bad, but ArchAssault is also much more focused on being supported on a multitude of embedded systems. Which, while possible with other OS's, isn't a large focus of theirs. Arch Assault seems to be trying to fill that niche of a pentest OS that is compatible with as many architectures as possible while also still being a very good choice for your typical desktop or laptop as well. i686, x86_64, armv6h, armv7h, and I'm sure theres more that I'm missing haha. I'm not exactly an architecture expert :/

I haven't used Arch in months..
