What Makes a Good Binder ?
« on: December 15, 2010, 09:14:23 PM »
ok so as you all know i want to start coding again, i think a binder will be a good place to start (not to easy not to hard)

so what makes a good binder ??
all ideas are welcome name, functions, stub size etc

iv made a few binders and the only one that went big(ish) was EasyBinder and tbh i don't think thats the best one i released, so why did ppl like it simplicity maybe ??

all ideas are welcome, if i use your idea you will get credits in the app  :-*

Lets start off with the features in EasyBinder 2:

(yes that's right I still have it)

Current Features (Should keep them)
*Bind multiple files (more then just 2 files)
*Change Icon and Output
*Show an Error Message (if checked)
*Built in Icon Extractor
*Bytes Adder
*FUD

Now lets go on to BuBind :P

Now BuBind has some nice features as well, other then a better look and the same functionality of Easy Binder 2, with BuBind you get more advanced options for what you can do with each file. So in the end I found myself using this one more frequently.

Features of BuBind (To Keep)
*Add unlimited files
*Allow running or not running of binded applications

Now as far as a complete list of functions to make one of the BEST binders  would be this:

*Change Icon
*Change Output Location
*Show an Error Message (if checked)
*Built in Icon Extractor
*Bytes Adder
*FUD
*Add unlimited files
*Allow running or not running of binded applications
+stub generator (custom stub to keep undetecable)
+change stub (to use with the stub generator)
+Information clone (input an EXE and copy all information in it to clone it (including Icon)

IDK maybe some others can help with some more features that's all I got.

I think EasyBinder got popular because its simple to use and very appealing to the eye. Simple is often the best ;)

Most binders extract the executables, save them physically and then execute them.
But it is better, and possible, to execute them from RAM. It is called ”base relocation" and it works with PE structures.

yes i can do this, i think evilbinder or bubind have execute in memory option don't remember propa

EasyBinder uses ncis to bind files my other binders use custom made stubs, will add both options in this new binder.
iTpHo3NiX all your ideas noted, what bout stub size is it important ??

Of course a smaller stub size is more important, but I don't really care personally. And remember if you need a beta tester I'm here :P
