Ubuntu LiveUSB doesn't work!

Hi,
I was trying to boot Ubuntu from my USB.
First I went into the BIOS and changed the boot-priority to the USB,but then I always get the following:

vesamenu.c32: not a COM32R image
boot: I don't know what's wrong or what I should enter...

add. info:
version: Ubuntu 10.4.4 desktop i386
installed on USB with: Universal USB Installer 1.8.8.9

So,what's wrong? the data on the USB? or is the laptop just not compatible? or something else?

Try to reinstall with UNetBootIn: http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/

What kind of computer? I highly doubt that it has anything to do with the computer being compatible. Do as Kulverstukas says and try the create the live usb again with UNetbootin. I also am a big fan of Linux Live USB Creator.

Although, when I used it to make a live usb with BT5 it wouldn't allow me to create it with persistence. That's when I had to use LiLi.

UNetBootIN is the only tool I use to get my nix isos on my usb, has never failed me yet

So that's how you made it persistent! I'll have to try that, don't want to do all that partitioning the flash drive and stuff.
