Following the same basic plot of the movie, the game takes place years after the events of Alien 3 and follows a cloned Lt. Ellen Ripley as she tries to escape from the xenomorph-infested research spaceship USM Auriga along with a crew of mercenaries.

I'd say this game is very close to being equivalent to Doom series, basically the same dark and creepy environment, a plethora of guns and all kinds of scary shit. I must admit I didn't play it a lot, because at that time I was still little and this game would scare me shitless. Yeah this was one of the scarier games on PS1... gameplay was good, easy to control, map was huge, story wasn't straightforward... give it a try if you like doom
