"Army men" mini-review
« on: February 23, 2014, 06:58:06 PM »

Army Men is a series of video games developed by 3DO and Global Star Software. It is based on various conflicts between four kinds of plastic army men, distinguished by their color: the Green, the Tan, the Blue, and the Grey. Two other factions, the Red and the Orange, as well as a much smaller army, the Black, also contribute to the story.

My input:

Oh man I used to play these games so much! I didn't play all of them, just a few - one I cannot remember the name of, "Air Attack", "Air Attack 2" and "Soldiers of Misfortune".

"Soldiers of Misfortune" was such a shit though, I didn't waste my time playing it. I really liked "Air Attack 2" and that was a game in my top 10 list. It was so awesome, I don't have words to describe it - flying around, shooting shit up. Missions were fun, gameplay was long, story was interesting, I tell you man, they do not make games THAT good anymore...
There was another which I can't remember the name of, but it was so addictively frustrating that I still couldn't stop playing it. Basically you would control a soldier from 3rd person view in a huge pixelated map, doing all kinds of missions. I say frustrating because it was very easy to die, there were no checkpoints...
I would LOVE to play "Air Attack 2" again... originally on a PS1 :(
