i dont know if its a mod or code but some pages have url like

www.somesite.com/member/relax
insted of
www.somesite.com/member.php?id=relax

how is this done?

Hi relax,

its been a long time since I did something like that. The magic term is "search engine friendly urls" or "rewrite engine". For Apache you can have a look at mod_rewrite. Here is an explanation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rewrite_engine
