How to connect vmware to wifi without dongle and lan but smartphone

How to connect kali (In vmware) To wifi with SmartPhone attached to host system? I can not use Dongle, I want to use SmartPhone as Dongle so that I can run Internet in Kali Linux in Vmware.

Turn on the hotspot in setting on your phone..


You can connect via wifi , usb or bluetooth if i remember correctly.

1. Make sure your smartphone supports hotspot via USB
2. Setup wifi-hotspot on your phone via USB, this way if you are on windows you'll appear to be connected via ethernet in the Network and Sharing center.
3. Open your VM's network and from the dropdown menu that lets u choose which adapter, select the gigabit ethernet adapter,

I am not sure of the last step, but in the case you have 2 adapters (ethernet and wifi) it will be the third (phones). If u have only two go for the gigabit or whatever ethernet adapter, If was on PC now I could have tested it out but I am not
