Thank you Praxis, that helps a lot. That's actually the card I was looking at getting as well.

Much appreciated.

They must have spent weeks, even months, planning that one out.  :P

@Kulverstukas - Yes, most computer stores them locked and alarm mechanism that can possibly be set off two different ways. Either the power to the unit being lost/cable pulled out, or the alarm cable being taken off the device. The alarm cables are stuck to the device with a little pressure switch on the underside of it, if the switch has pressure taken off of it then the alarms go blazin'.

Hacking and Security / Google's Vulnerability Program

Found this on Engadget this evening and thought it was interesting. I'd like to know what kind of flaw you need to report that merits the particular sums of rewarded cash. $20 000 is a pretty large amount.

This works great, I just tried it. Simple, clean, and easy fix. Fun to give to your friends or family to mess around with them.

I lol'd at jubayernil's post.

Can anything really detrimental be done just through knowing the information available through the IRC? Knowing a general location and ISP doesn't seem to be such a big deal to me... unless you start coupling that information with other little info tidbits.

I love IRC. Ive gotten past a few issues (computing related, not psychological) with the help of people on IRC.

So I've been at this for a day now and I can't seem to get things working myself and haven't really been able to find anything online that would be able to point me in the right direction...

While using Gerix or Airmon I'm not getting anything to come up for my interface. I'm thinking it's an issue with my wireless card compatibility, though I'm also pretty sure that my card is compatible after looking up a few compatibility lists online.

If anyone is able to give me some advice in the next steps to take it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm using a D-Link DWA-552 Desktop PCI Adapter with BackTrack 5 in VMware Workstation.
