Africa, and why does it have to be sub-saharan?

I separated North Africa from the rest of Africa, because North Africans are more closely related to the Middle east than they are to Sub-saharan Africa.

Just out of curiosity, is the fan even spinning? i've had this happen to me before, the laptop would randomly shut off from the heat, only to figure out that the fan wasn't even going.

you really should immediately deal with that fan, especially if your gonna run that computer as a server. the heat will destroy your processor.

Well, you kinda have to buy a new one in this situation. laptop parts are very specific to the model, you can't really salvage parts, unless you come across one thats the exact same model.

Replacing a CPU fan on a laptop is pretty easy to do, but usually involves taking it apart and exposing the motherboard, so if you aren't interested in seeing the guts of your laptop, you shouldn't try this.

You should read the service manual for that machine to see how to do this properly. Always ground yourself before starting. Usually the fan and heat sink come as one unit, so you should get some thermal paste as well.

Antisocial, I hate to admit it.. I'm trying to change that and I'm slowly shifting towards ambivert. It's not that I'm shy, I couldn't be less shy. I just don't give a flying fuck about socializing. I'm on my way to that ambivert though, trust me ;)

That would make you nonsocial not antisocial. Being antisocial means you engage in behavior that causes damage to relationships and society in general i.e. pathological lying, cheating, beating your wife, etc.

Java / Re: Java quiz series

Wrong.
Run the code and reconsider your answer.

Well, it still outputs 3. was that part at least right?

Java / Re: Java quiz series

It outputs 3.

The home member object was used inside the class so access specifiers are irrelevant.

fun fact: each home object has a static home object within it that can be referenced infinitely so this is also a legal statement
Code: (java) [Select]
System.out.println(home.home.home.home.home.rooms); //homes inside of homes inside of homes. its Homeception

Found it on the Webs / Re: Sound of Deep Space
« on: November 24, 2013, 05:06:02 PM »
So yeah, this is not what it actually sounds like, because to us humans it just sounds like silence. To conclude, this is more of an artistic expression than a scientific finding.

No, There is no sound in space at any pitch. Sound travels through molecular vibrations, on earth it's air molecules. In space, there is such a vast sea of emptiness between molecules that sound is impossible. i don't like how it's misleading in the fact that this wasn't originally sound but radio waves.

Operating System / Re: Error

it might be that you USB is starting to go bad. its not a good idea to save an OS that you use frequently on a USB. There are a limited amount of read and writes to a usb before it dies. you should just create a partition and dual boot off the hard drive.

I don't know why they say this is what deep space sounds like. This was taken from the Earth's magnetosphere. in deep space there isn't any medium for sound to travel through. there is nothing in deep space to hear.
