If that doesn't work try:
sudo nmap -sP -PS22,3389 192.168.2.1/24 #custom TCP SYN scan
sudo nmap -sP -PU161 192.168.2.1/24 #custom UDP scan

Good tutorial, but I believe SSLStrip is out of date. Things like HttpsEverywhere can beat it.

Just burn TAILS onto a flash drive and boot into it when anonymity is needed. Installing it as your main operating system is besides it's point.

My personal favorites are Hitman Pro and Malware Bytes. Other anti-virus act more like a virus, I find.
