Beginner's Corner / My internal WIFI card will not work
« on: December 24, 2015, 02:14:27 AM »
So basically the issue is is that my internal WiFi card will not work for some reason and i have tried to re download the drivers from the Intel website but it will not take whether i add it manually or i let the computer search for it.

I have an Intel Centrio wireless-N WiMAX 6150 running on a dell inspiron N1140. Also I kinda of has a thought where there might be an issue with the vmware driver that is on there as it sort of stopped working around the time i installed the vmware.

Like i said I have tried to reinstall the driver to the computer of that specific piece

Beginner's Corner / Kali Linux Question
« on: November 30, 2015, 09:40:49 PM »
So i wanted to ask a question about obtaining wlan0 when typing in ifconfig
How can i get eth0 to go to wlan0? Can i do this manually? Im thinking that i cannot due to i have an ethernet cord hooked up into my computer? I have tried a wlan usb stick and that works its just that the one i had was ruined. I would however rather have the ethernet cable. Any sugesstions?

I am running vmware to run kali 2.0 64bit
