« on: March 12, 2015, 12:06:05 PM »Nmap and nikto are the two I like to use. All these dudes bashing on vulnerability scanners act like they are 1337 haxors , when you know they are still using them
Totally agree with you, there are vulnerability scanners that even analyse the vulnerability for you. So yes they are useful and it worth using them.

« on: March 12, 2015, 11:53:30 AM »They should be on the same network by default fool. Start by running ifconfig on kali and then ping that ip from the windows machine.
Deactivate Windows firewall first since it filters ICMP messages. Don't activate at back at once, just play with Kali, check out what you can do with the firewall off and then compare with the firewall on.
