They released a version for PC if you're skeptical about buying the PS2/Xbox. I believe (rumor) there is a patch available for the game with GameShark (PS2) to remove censors from the executions. I thought it was an overall good game. I was discouraged about the story-line because executions are somewhat limited.

This tutorial goes over the basics of writing a Hello World routine for the MBR. It also has references to more advanced rootkits that use this.

nice share, but the sandbox will block everything malicious in the pdf reader. I had some malicious pdf from 2008's. they dont execute anymore.
Dunno if the sandbox is broken yet.

If you scan it using VirusTotal that service checks for abnormalities and scripts in the document too.

Hacking and Security / Re: 3G USB Modem Hacking (Free Internet)

i was thinking more along the lines of maybe there are firmware hacks like on game consoles (flash a new firmware that doesn't check if you have credit and just lets you connect?) i was j.w if you guys knew of any

ISPs use server-side-authentication; for example when you setup a PPPoE modem it has to authenticate the credentials in the modem with that of the ISP, the same thing as entering a PIN.

Game Hacking, Modding & Discussing / "Dig Dug" mini-review
« on: September 29, 2013, 12:25:10 AM »

Dig Dug (ディグダグ, Digu Dagu?) is an arcade game developed and published by Namco in Japan in 1982 for Namco Galaga hardware. It was later published outside of Japan by Atari, Inc.. A popular game based on a simple concept, it was also released as a video game on many consoles.

Absolutely love this game to this day. This was actually the first game I got with my computer and it was included on a floppy disk. I don't know what else to say about this game. What is more fun than blowing up monsters with a pump and digging tunnel traps to drop rocks on them? If you haven't played this game you will have to try it to know the full extent of what I'm getting at here. It is extremely addictive.

Download for Atari 2600 emulators: here

All answers the last 3 digits indicate how old you are, the first digit being the month, and the last 2 being your age.

The passcode lock has been patched already.

Don't know exactly how they could patch the sensor.

Game Hacking, Modding & Discussing / Re: "Gears of War 1/2" mini-review

I played Gears Of War 1 when it came out and still do. Everyone seemed to anticipate the second installment as an improvement of course. I think they ruined the series though. Example: in the 1st the moving is smooth and you have the ability to 'wall-bounce' like crazy in an attempt to throw off the enemy. In the 2nd the movement seems way slower and they have eliminated that by making you stick to any wall you cover.

I read somewhere that GTA5 cost about 265 million to develop next to the leading Pirates Of The Caribbean at 300 million. It has already made all the money back in pre-orders too.I just thought that was kind of insane.

It may be able to crack a significant amount of public and documented hashes but you have to keep in mind there are also plenty of custom algorithms that it couldn't. You would have to do that manually and those hashes may never be deciphered.
