I've used Arch, Debian, Gentoo, CrunchBang and some other random crap...

Finally settled on Mint, because it's just easy and not overly bloaty.

I definitely learnt the most getting Arch running smoothly though, they have a really nice wiki to help you.

Thanks for the read. Would be interesting to know if anyone's gathered any statistics on commonly used combinations, like people have done in the past with common passwords.  Doubtful I know, but I think I'll have a look around anyway.


Presumably with 4 digit combinations someone's year of birth would be a very likely combination, a little bit of information gathering and/or social engineering might whittle down those combinations to just one.

The 'arm' shouldn't really be pushing on the pins, tension should be holding them in place. Try and make sure the head of the pick is the only thing making contact, if that's not possible you might need slimmer picks.
