Title: Can i delete all the info google has stored about my website?
Post by: L0rd_M@dness on March 20, 2013, 04:36:49 PM
I used to have a website, which i tried to search engine optimize, but then I ended up changing permanlinks and deleting some posts and ultimately domain changes 2 times; now google search results comes up with a bunch of links to my website that don't work.
I just want a total google reboot for my website, making google delete all the cache and data related to my website and then recrawling it all over. Is this possible?

To ensure your directory or site is permanently removed from Google's search results, you should use robots.txt (http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=156449) to block crawler access to the directory (or, if you’re removing a site, to your whole site). We recommend doing this before or soon after requesting removal of the directory. Otherwise, your content may later reappear in search results. (More information about blocking Google. (http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=93708)) Returning a 404 HTTP status code isn't enough, because a directory can return a 404 status code, but still serve out the files it contains.
Once you've blocked crawler access to the directory, follow these steps to remove a site or directory from Google's search results:
Important! The URL removal tool is intended for pages that urgently need to be removed—for example, because they contain confidential data that was accidentally exposed. Using the tool for other purposes may cause problems for your site. When not to use the URL removal tool. (http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=1269119)

Then:

Add your URL (http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/submit-url) – Submit your website for inclusion in Google's index

If it is different URL's then you should be ok to resubmit right after the first steps.

Thanks. I believe that your post is the first post on the net that accurately describes the process on how to remove a website from google's search results.
