I need a tool to 'repair' IMEI on android phone,i have 2.3.6 android version.Does anyone have free tool for this if not where i can buy a cheap one?

It mean change IMEI wich is illegal ,and if you said 'repair' IMEI its legal :)

I didnt find any free software,just demos,finded one for 4 dollars-i dont think i will find anything better then that.

Do you want to change IMEI because it's a stolen phone or because it's an illegal Chinese model?
Governments at some countries have a process in place to change IMEI of counterfeit phones to a legal one for some minimal fees.
I don't think a free software can give you a proper IMEI as lots (as in batches) of those numbers are reserved for manufacturers.

Its a stolen phone wich sell my mobile provider.I can make calls from phone wich mean its not blacklisted.If is blacklisted its should be blocked in that network,i think that is how things works,didnt shure for 100%.Still i am afraid they can track me if i continue to use it,dont know is theft reported to police,provider or maybe that person already have a new phone :)
And proper software can give you any IMEI you want,manufactures cant do nothing against that.You change IMEI and its like you have a new phone.

You shouldn't count on it, but typically the fuzz doesn't give a shit about stolen phones in less-developed countries (Eastern Europe and afar).

Alright, as long as you don't want a legit IMEI number (legit as in not already used) I think you can change it using softwares.

Yeah, I suppose since you're writing into the critical part of the phone nand this can very easily brick the phone too.
I suggest reading a lot of reading and research.

What phone are you using? u can get it on most samsung's and HTC with s-off. Tough IMEI is a SECURITY feature, so you will need a replacement IMEI in order for this to work. And no there are almost no tools. You will need to prepare the files yourself. It's not that hard.

Have you managed to fix your IMEI?
I managed to 'remove' the IMEI of my phone (i8530, imported from China) by accident. Fixing it actually means re-writing the phone's IMEI (which I still have on its label under the battery) back to the system.
How that is done is a good question because on Android the IMEI is written in two different files that are hashed and I don't know enough about the file structure or the hash algorithm to write it manually (rooted phone with terminal access can do the trick ... also from PC via adb terminal)

There's tons of info on backing up, restoring or recreating the IMEI on XDA. If you are hacking android, or just rooting, etc. that's the #1 place to get info.
Austerus, You may want to browse this thread. Perhaps you can find something that will get you on the right path to restoring your IMEI. As always, YMMV.

Today i got call by police,they take the phone.Police done a good job,im not not i should change a IMEI :)
