Hello EZ.
I have a long time thought the current category and board structure is a bit of a mess and needed updating. I wasent going to do this until Alpha was completed, but had a bit of free time on my hands, and who knows when Alpha will be complete..
I would really love comments, ideas, criticizem and alike to make this proposal even better.
This is the proposal so far:

Cant find fit for or dont want these existing boards:
Other - Hardware
Other - Operating System
Other - Bitch and moan ( Do we even want this board anymore.. Seriously? )
The entire international category
Encyclopedia Galactica - Other
Programming - Code library ( This just did not work out lol )
Programming - EvilCMS ( Same )
Programming - EvilPMS ( Same, lol at name.. )
Hacking and Security - Tutorials ( Not entierly sure what to do about this, having one single tutorial board has its advantages but also its weaknesses..)

This post triggered my OCD so hard I'm bleeding out my nose. :D
There's a couple of inconsistencies in there that I'm gonna try and help you fix, however right now I'm almost done at work so I'm probably gonna do it tomorrow and update this post.
But as a general thing, the structure as it is now is quite easy and intuitive. The same applies to the restructured version, so I'm thinking that the only major change that should be done is indeed to remove certain boards.
Also those censored parts refer to boards that need special access I assume? For example only people who work on the EvilZine will have access to the boards in | +-EZine (An online magazine maintained by Evilzone.)

I love that structure and the new additions like Cryptography.
But i think that the Tutorials and Operating System(*nix, win, mac) sections must be in. Also a section about Malwares(news, analysis, protection, disinfection) should exist.
I like that the Random sec is still there.
I agree with the international boards removal.
Physical (Social engineering, lockpicking, pickpocketing and other physical hacking and security related topics.
In my opinion there should be only one section for Social Engineering, drop lockpicking and pickpocketing.
By physical security what do you mean? how to defend your self if someone attacks you?.
-
I really like it and I have nothing to add.. I agree with everything :) (guess thats not the kind of input you expected nor do you need it). Just wanted to say that I really like that:
+-Hacking and Security
| +-Networking (Firewalls, intrusion detection, intrusion prevention.)
and I wanted to thank you for it (when and where can I apply for a moderator position for that board?..lol). I think the new board structure won't be so much work. Moving all guides and tutorials to the new sections will be a pain in the ass :) I would like to offer my help no matter where you need it.
-
I like it and hackMe sound like fun :P only problem is that noobs will post sites they want us to hack for em >.> so a post requirements for it?
also whats up with the use of community / network? sounds weird to me tbh but then again english is not my native language.. but i like community
evilterminal also raise a lot of questions... i have seen it being mentioned before but never knew what for.. is it the war-games? challenges is the war-games i think >.>
Programming - Code library issent that like really new? maybe give it some more time?
and yeah tutorial, what are the weaknesses ?
-
Why a tutorial board? You can as well have a [tutorial] tag and choose the section that fits to the topic. I.e. tutorial about python goes into python.
However, I would really like to distinguish between tutorials and papers.
A tutorial is usually a step-by-step guide, it shows the reader how to do something practically.
A paper is sharing general knowledge about a topic. So if you decide to add a tutorial board nevertheless, how about naming it tutorials and papers? (or just leave it away as proposed)
Other than that I like the proposal as is, I also like the suggestion about the malware board.
-
YESFUCKING YES GO ANDE :D. hit me up on irc when we going to move everything one day.
-
The wireless board should be a subsection under the network board. Other than that I have no complaints.

Why did it trigger your OCD? :P
Would love your help. The censored parts are off limits boards or unpublicized features.

Tutorials:
The problem is.. The whole point of making this many new specific boards is to get things better sorted. Making a shared tutorial board for all the hacking and security related tutorials would defeat the purpose of making these new boards. But I agree, it is a bit weird without the tutorial board. Awaiting more feedback.
Operating System:
There is a OS / System board in hacking and security. Not sure if that is enough. Awaiting more feedback.
Malware:
I just cant see what kind of topics would be posted in this board. Got any examples? I sure as hell wont help people remove malware, that's common knowledge and its common sense to not get malware in the first place. Nor will I write malware analysis for people. News and protection, perhaps but.. Idk. Awaiting response/feedback from others.
Finally: Hmm, the Physical and Hardware boards are a bit.. Overlapping/missing. I wanted to make a board for all sorts of physical stuff like magnet stripe cards, skimmers, NFC/RFID, lockpicking etc etc. But that kinda fits just fine into Hardware. But on the other hand Social Engineering does not fit into Hardware. However, we cant have a dedicated Social Engineering board, wont have enough posts.

Well, always good to hear you do something right :)
You can apply for mod when its up and running :P

People posting pages to be hacked gets banned or deleted anyway. I dont think it will be a big problem.
I wrote community / network because I am not sure which one of those to use. I guess community will be the one.
EvilTerminal is a feature included in the Alpha project, not yet complete :P
The code library has been there for ages, and its not working out. Out of place.

Exactly.

You are not on IRC ATM :(

I agree and disagree. Yes they are very much related. But the Wireless board is not only for Wifi, but for any type of wireless device. And on top of that, wireless hacking and "network hacking" are two completely different things.

This looks amazing!! But there are 2 boards I wanted to see:
- Project board (for hardware related projects like personal builds, case mods, making new hardware, etc)
- Gaming board (for both console gaming and pc gaming, case mods, hacks, etc.)
I love everything else, kinda sad to see bitch n moan go but its not necessary.

Gaming related stuff wont happen I think. There is way to few people interested around here. A hardware project board.. Maybe. We'll see.

I totally agree with Deque's idea of a no tut's board. Just post you tut with the tag in the appropriate section is great.
The physical/hardware sections seem pretty straightforward. Hardware would be for all of
I wanted to make a board for all sorts of physical stuff like magnet stripe cards, skimmers, NFC/RFID, lockpicking etc etc.
That stuff except for the lockpicking. Put SO, lockpicking and....idk whatever someone else decides is a hack in the Physical section. If you can accomodate two sections for those things.
Also, I really think that there should be a general uploads section. Like when I uploaded packettracer I couldn't find a good place to put it and it's certainly not an ebook.
Otherwise I love it.

Didn't think the gaming board would go, I probably wouldn't put it on my own site unless I noticed a rising popularity for it. But the other, like when I was building a supercomputer, there wasn't a place to put it, so I didn't keep it updated.

Just a quick thought as i remember something from a diff site. They had a board for news feeds basically, the admin had an rss feed that populated one section with buqtracker i believe. And another portion where members could post news and such related to the security/hacking world. Now im not saying we need an RSS feed, but it would be nice to have a dedicated board for a quick and dirty look at the computer world. While yes, this could fit into found on the webs, it would also mean that members would have to sort through the other rubbish to stay on top of patches and exploits. Same goes for the hacking board, this would reduce the clutter that people have to sort through before finding the articles they wanted for tutorials and whatnot.
Otherwise, looks legit :D

YES. I thought of this once but completely forgot about it

What about those tutorials that are not concerned with some programming language like Hacking by using BT or something like that?

That can go into general hacking.

I will definitely write more stuff about malware.
Especially understanding malware infection types, malware analysis, malware concept codes and because it was requested several times: polymorphism, metamorphism.
I don't know if others will contribute to this section too, though.
Examples: (these also fit into the programming section by now, but I am going to write more general papers too)

ande, usually when I see something along the lines of a list, table of contents or some other type of geometric shape with content, any small inconsistency (so like capitalization on all the words of header 1, but capitalization of just the first word on header 2) creates a feeling of discomfort and annoyance. It's never directed at the writer, it's always directed at the object itself. An inconsistent list literally pisses me off because of the OCD. ;D And that's why I mentioned nose-bleeds ;)
My take on the structure:
Green - Open
Orange - Minimum number of posts (10-15)
Red - Minimum number of posts (50+)

[TUTORIAL] / [WHITE-PAPER] tags mandatory if you're posting a tut/paper. They must be posted in the sub-board that is specific to the topic.
[CODED] tag for any tool/snippet that used to belong in the "Code Library" section. They must be posted in the sub-board that matches the used language.
[REVIEW] / [PREVIEW] tags should be used for any article/paper written by a member in which he reviews or gives a preview of a particular tool, device, service, etc. They must be posted in the sub-board that fits topics with the subject of the review/preview.
And I also, out of respect for the biggest Sci-Fi writer that ever existed, Isaac Asimov, insist on keeping the name of the board as "Encyclopedia Galactica" instead of "Other/General Knowledge". ;)

How about adding an Overclocking child board under Hardware.

I am a little busy at the moment, I will try to get back to you today or tomorrow.

I'd ask to keep a central place for the tutorials. It makes easier to find them.
There are tuts on topics other than my usual interest and if the title intrigues me I do take a look. It's possible because (most) tuts currently are accessible from one place. A lot of 'em would have been missed otherwise.
