Title: How come thepiratebay is a .org?
Post by: L0rd_M@dness on February 27, 2013, 04:19:22 AM
Can't the domain NOT sell to this website? I mean Kim Dotcom killed himself to get a domain and nobody sold him any because of piracy. How come .org is still owned by thepiratebay?

why would they be denied a domain? It's not like they do anything illegal.
and who should start deciding who should have or should not have a domain...
who should control the internet....

They use the .se domain mainly and not org. They switched domains to avoid some issues with 'Murica trying to seize it.

yea 'Murica had some issues with them. That's why I was wondering why they're still on .org. They still have the .org one but it redirects to .se now.

Yeah but that's the beauty with the pirate bay...
They don't host any copyright content on the servers just a lot of "links"
And it's not illegal to have links... AFAIK
