Title: PC-BSD 9.1
Post by: frog on December 20, 2012, 10:19:32 PM
I've had my eye on this project for awhile, it's finally at the point where BSD can be used for a desktop system with minimal frills. I installed last night and tested a few things, namely flash player(which works fine) and the wireless management software. It also has an app repo/installer similar to synaptic for debian systems, called AppCafe. It works very well and there's a whole lot of software you can install(chromium, geany, nmap, and others can be installed from here). I like to see FreeBSD making a come up; neat stuff.

Few days ago I found it on Distrowatch, never heard of it before.

You should try it and post an honest opinion about it. I would be grateful for the insight..
