There are plenty, but most people (myself included) are far too used to the QWERTY layout.

It is not that hard to switch (to Dvorak). It took me a few weeks, but I have noticed that if I try, my fingers actually move less, and I have fewer spelling errors. Now, though, I need to look at the keyboard whenever QWERTY is on, unless it's a mobile device.
