The laptop I'm using was originally supposed to be my dad's, but became mine soon after. The original configuration is set to his name, so I changed what I could to my name, going into system properties and whatnot. But when I do something like play games offline, and I set a new record for the game, it puts his name down on the record, not mine. Why is that?

Did he have a steam account/gaming program that you use?
If so, then it will autofill the saves.
If not, idk.

Create new profile with your name and delete the old one.

it's stored in deep encrypted registry files.

He doesn't even know how to use a computer..as long as he can click IE and go to pogo.com he doesn't care what happens..so no steam for him lol.Create new profile with your name and delete the old one.
Window's 8. There is no user accounts, I'm signing in using my microsoft account.. so I think it has to be a name on the hardware or workgroup that isn't attached to a specific profile.

I thought maybe BIOS but I'll check that later..
Majorly fucked-up right now, hope this all makes sense o.o
