Title: Hacking and programming skill tests?
Post by: aravindhkce on October 13, 2012, 03:22:39 PM
Hello I don't know if this is the right place but does someone know of some site that helps us to assess our hacking and programming skills?for example like hackthissite.org?

Agreed, also check out overthewire.org and start with the bandit missions. If you want to be a real hacker, then what they teach you on that site is going to very useful in anything you do on a *Nix system ever again where as securityoverride.org and hackthissite.org really only teach you different forms of gaining unauthorized access. IMO, you gotta learn to walk before you can run bro.

smashthestack.org
Word. Very useful challenges. For a good combo of broad skill assessment, play around at securityoverride, and then at smashthestack. If you can complete a good amount of challenges at both sites, I would say you are fairly decent (only decent because there's always room to become better).

I don't really want to recommend this site, but it is where I started and all. hellboundhackers.org

It is a dead community, but also offers "challenges". SecurityOverride is better though IMHO.

Almost deleted because of bad subject. "Help" is not a good topic subject.
