Title: [Question] Get into bios without ps/2 keyboard
Post by: hanorotu on September 02, 2012, 03:10:05 PM
It has come time for me to backup my data and reinstall my os, so I backed up my files and burnt my image disc. Well, when I tried to boot from the cd my keyboard would not work. I wasn't aware of the usb keyboards not being enabled in the bios, so I try to enter the bios but then I realized oh wait, I am still in dos so therefore my keyboard won't work. So I can't access my bios or press any key to boot from cd without the usb keyboard and mouse support on on in the bios. Is there any way to get into the bios and enable this without a ps2 keyboard?

Its a matter of BIOS version. I can get into my bios using a wireless logitech keyboard:P.

You need to update your bios version if supported ;)

I will give it a shot, thanks.

No avail. I guess I need to find a keyboard.

Sorry for posting in a locked thread, but you should elaborate on the solution.

I had my keyboard plugged into an external hub and it wasn't detecting it. So I plugged the keyboard up the computer and viola! I am a dumbass.
