Title: What are your thoughts on 'BitCoins'

I'm still relativly new to the whole 'bitcoin' idea. I know of a underground anonymous drug marketplace that use bitcoin, and only bitcoin as currency.. which seems somewhat intresting.
I wanna know your guys thoughts on 'bitcoin' feel free to go in depth. Knowledge should never be denied.

I wanna hear what people THINK of them. Love them, Hate Them? Trust them or no?

Silkroad (can't access unless you go through tor)
Blackmarket for drugs, etc. Basically the gangster version of Ebay.
Seems like alot of dicking around for virtual currency.

I have done bitmining before. Not worth it unless you have several machines with ATI 7xxx GPUs. I used to mine with a single top of the range nvidia card and mining was slow as hell.
