Title: Those beyond epic videos
Post by: ande on March 21, 2012, 02:15:00 AM
Hello fellas,

Every once in a while I come across those movies/clips that are just beyond epic. They are so incredible inspiring and/or eye opening that they make you stay up another hour or five even tho its 05:30 in the morning/night. They make you horribly angry, inspired, happy, sad or whatever.

So I was thinking, since its such an awesome feeling finding such videos. Lets make a collection! So here goes. This is the clip that made me post this post:

I too find these videos. The one I will post in response isn't quite like the link you provided, but it really is epic to me; thought I would share.

Is there room for feedback on other people's videos? The video ande posted would have made me angrier if it didn't make me sad. Yet another reason to dislike Obama. Its no wonder why even after 60 years we still use the same archaic way of launching our clunky junk into space. To think that a large majority of the craft just...breaks off into the ocean! Not to mention that our history and knowledge in it's entirety in the past has been completely demolished thanks to religion. I wonder what might have been possible now....

Ah well here's my video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0TvZRcwz4I)

P.S. Not sure why the subtitles.

I don't know is it my character or something, but I don't get inspired by videos or talks. I am inspired by my own ideas and no video can change the way I think (unless it's a documentary or just educational type :P). I don't know what you people see in those videos that makes you inspired, but I just see moving frames.
Yeah they are pretty with nice speeches and stuff, but it's not like after I watch it I'll go running 100's of kilometers because I was motivated. Not like I will start doing stuff beyond my power if I don't want to... it's just weird, you know?
I get inspired by my own will, motivation and thought.

All people are different, maybe it's just me - miserable. I don't deny that. But it's how I am and I learned to like it.

Also this video below was shown to me by my friend, it's a cool story and makes you think. But doesn't inspire me as much as others say.

Nothing is impossible if you put enough effort. But with that comes the question - is it really worth it?

Yeah, that's a good speech, but it won't change anything... it's just a speech.

Brilliant one :)

You sir, are just sad. Everyone needs inspiration, either its from a speech, ideas, thoughts or something else. Your ideas are just ideas and your thoughts are just thoughts. What matters is the will and inspiration it gives, that is what creates action and gets things done.

Does not work on me. I get inspiration from my own thoughts and work.

I'm sure your thoughts and work are inspired through other people, works, and ideas in some form or another even if you don't think they are. I'm gonna go in a little different direction, but what inspires me most right now is the beauty of our planet.

... ok maybe I get inspired by someone. I am not sure... I do need inspiration sometimes, that's where I get motivation to do something - by seeing how other people are doing so good in a field that I kinda into, it drives me to work harder...

@ande: kinda cool video.

A documentary on 4 interns working at frog creek softwares for 12weeks to create a product. Copilot. I think the product is kinda useless, i mean, there're lots of other well known alternatives, but anyway, I liked the video.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KeJoVeKSsyA (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KeJoVeKSsyA)     "A Fascinatingly Disturbing Thought"

My favorite video. It's more about the thought he discusses itself rather than motivational words, but it all somehow manages to be pretty inspirational at the end.

I loved the video that said we stopped dreaming.
