mhm, what are the advantages of reading this??  a linux box +samba/ftp not good enough??

FIY a DVD/Blueray player that has capability to connect to home network and access file shares, will not be able to see the shares from Samba. I don't know why and I didn't find any info on it either.
It works good with windows, but not with Samba.

FreeNAS has all services preinstalled, that text is noob frendly for people who don't know much about linux administration and shares.
