Who the f*ck uses Kali as their main distro?

Grow up and use something mature and suited for everyday use, like Slackware, Gentoo, or Arch.
Compile the tools you need and actually learn something that way.

EDIT: btw I like ESET Guy in a background but it just makes no sense in linux.

Nice desktop customization, but seriously there is no point.
Customize your host desktop, as TheWormKill and v32itas have said, use a real distro like arch, and use kali in a VM.
If you have it in a VM you can get it to the state you want and take a snapshot, which you restore after every use.
Kali is good at what is does, which is have a shitload of pentesting tools that work out of the box, but it is an awful idea to use it as a main OS.
The packages are so outdated it's not even funny. And running outdated packages as root is just....

Not to talk about how few 'hackers' who remembers to change the default root password... And the 1,000 of other 'bugs' in it.

Why using Kali when you can install what you prefer on clean distro and not getting all the unnecessary crap?
Conky is pretty nice but I don't use it because I'm using a tiled WM.

I use BlackArch for my pentesting needs, not Kali.


Kali's good, but only for VMs thought.
