Title: Hacking Elevators or Lift
Post by: rajaditya37 on January 30, 2015, 09:18:44 AM
Hi Guys,

i’m going to tell you how to skip all other floors and go straight to the floor you want to get off.its work for me all time. :)
The designers of some elevators include a hidden feature that is very handy if you’re in a hurry or it’s a busy time in the building. While some elevators require a key, others can be put into “Express” mode by pressing the “door close” and “floor” buttons at the same time. This sweeps the car to the floor of your choice and avoids stops at any other floor. This seems to work on MOST elevators that i have tried. Most elevators have the option for this to work but on some of them the option is turned off by whoever runs them. This is a rather fun hack, so the next time you are on an elevator, give it a try, you have nothing to lose.

Actually you haven't tried shit, this tutorial has been posted around for a long time, I think it was also included in that "hacking texts" compilation from the 90's lol.
The least you can do is format normally what you copy :/

Give credits when credits is due, this isn't your tutorial. Do not copy/paste random shit from the internet, especially if it's outdated. You can find this info everywhere on the web.

This trick predates the internet.
It should everywhere on the planet, it is for fire and police services.
Maybe you are not holding down the close button long enough.

REally ? I'll try again then.
I started with the door closed and then the number on the top, I'll test the opposite.

What if I don't have an elevator, what do I do then?

PS this no longer works. I have read of this countless times on the web and even tried this in malls. Never worked for me

The Elevator would have to be programmed to accept the procedure you have described. Some Elevators when depressing the Door Close will cancel the Door Timing and the door will close. Most high rise Elevators have load weighing devices to measure the weight of the Elevator with and with out passengers. This comes in handy when you have a bank of elevators and traffic is at it's peak so if an elevator has enough passengers another elevator is dispatched and so on. The key is an independent service key that will override and give you independent service of the elevator when activated.

You are wrong. Depends on the elevator and elevator manufacturer. Most newer elevators do not have this functionality and requires a different method, usually involving the key

I can't be the only one feeling suspicious about OP and these bunch of new comers commenting and complimenting all of his posts. I wonder how alone one has to be run multiple accounts on an online forum.
