I voted python because it's the one ill use first. But they all have uses. Except Ruby.

I want a multiple choice option. It's not like I use only one of them.
Plus, it lacks a lot of other languages.

Edit: Instead of voting, I just leave them here (in order of use):
Bash, Scala, Python, AWK, Batch, Perl

Note: This really includes scripting tasks, not writing big programs. E.g. I am not good with Batch, I can barely use it without looking up stuff, but I need it for certain stuff on Windows. Same for Perl. It is just convenient to do
perl -e "print foo bar stuff"
I don't know much about Perl besides the things I often need for small tasks on command line.

You probably have no idea about Perl, so what about stop talking for topics that you don't know shit about? You are ridiculous for looking down a scripting language like Perl. The fact that just one guy vote for it doesn't prove your statements.


In my opinion each scripting language has each purpose, except Python that covers all that purposes.  8)
