Do i need usb wireless adapter to connect to wifi or just normal with wicd?

Well I don't know much about kali but I'll try and help you out.  A usb wireless adapter should work just fine however if that doesn't work I have a solution for you. I did a quick Google search (which I recommend you do in the future) and found the video listed below to go about installing wicd on kali in case you need. Hope this helped somewhat.

This is a very vague post...  Have you tried Googling this information first?  Or even trying to connect on said machine?  Kali linux has a growing community of users and there is a plethora of information and documentation about it on the web.  Not to mention... it's just Debian...

I think the simplest answer here is, no, wicd doesn't specifically need a wireless usb adapter.
