Looks like blackberry is broken beyond repair. ATM it has already began closing shop.
The company perpotedly reportedly suspended shares and formed a special committee to administer the Last Rites.
Looks like bad news to any BB fans.

So I don't get it. Is it bad news that your BB broke, or is it because BB is closing their shops (whatever that means)?

Death to BB !
Crapberry sucks.

I kinda liked the Z10... but oh well, too bad.

Currently they are trying to pull back and privatize the company, they are also considering selling the company, this is in return could save the company from an eminent collapse.

There were hoping the the new Blackberry 10 OS will boost the sales, but it wasn't enough to gain momentum.

In all, I hope Blackberry gets back on its feet very soon, and recover well. My experience with BB 10 is so far good, it's completly different than any previous BB os, hopefully the next OS 10.2 will boost the sales again.
However, the competition to gain a foothold in smartphones is really difficult, this source (http://dealbook.nytimes.com/2013/08/12/blackberry-to-explore-strategic-alternatives-including-a-sale-again/?_r=0) clearly stated that four years ago, BB had 51% of the north america smartphone market. Now they only have 3.4%. Even the once great cellphone manufacturer Nokia is also struggling to gain momentum in what I call the iphone+Android era of smartphones.
