Title: Hacking Outdated NetWare
Post by: boll on June 06, 2011, 02:48:58 AM
I have determined that a server is running novell netware 5.7. They are also running a severely outdated version of eDirectory. The worst part is that most eDirectory vulnerabilities only work on Windows hosts.

Advice? I have lots of linux/unix knowledge, but netware just confuses me.

Check the eDirectory exploits and see what you can change, what type of stack/exploit protection is used on novell. Change the shellcode to run on the target platforms architecture. See how software is loaded under netware.

In that case why don't I just find an exploit and write it myself then...? seeing I would have to change everything :D
